yeh a quick change of mind, i like my highway cruzing, and **** doing it myself, it sounds like alot of screwing around, is there anything inbetween i can get, like 3.4/3.5, that wouldnt be so bad on the highway as a 3.7 would it? and its a shift kitted stock 4 speed auto.

yeah, well 3.7's arn't so bad in an auto's because *i think* the overdrive in the final gear brings the revs down quite a bit.

personally i wouldnt go 3.7's in a manual if u do lots of highway

yeah there are 3.45 and 3.5's im pretty sure.

i'v got a 5 speed and im gonna go 3.5's.

The 5 speed manual and 4 speed auto (in overdrive) have almost identical ratios in top gear.

Here is a guide of what your cruising revs would be with a few different ratios:

3.08 (stock) : 1750 rpm @ 100 kph
3.45 : 2000 rpm @ 100 kph
3.7 : 2100 rpm @ 100 kph
3.9 : 2200 rpm @ 100 kph
4.1 : 2350 rpm @ 100 kph.

Oh and by the way you can get 3.45 gears out of any 6 cylinder VL and get them fitted your VN.
