All 6cyl vl had 3.45,last of vk b/w had 3.23 iirc...only need the gears not 25 spline centre, just check like Immortality posted above.

We used to get 3.9/4.11 gears out of pintara's & 3.7 from 4cyl cortina's

Lots of different cars had b/w diffs

If buying new there basically 2 brands available one of which has a few complaints about noise.

And can’t get Dana gears anymore apparently - was told they were bought out by another co not too long ago.

Just need to be careful with centres when shopping around - the irs centres have circlip grooves to retain the axles.

I assume it’s okay to use an irs centre in the live axle housing but not the other way around?

Looks like an 0575 gear set so yes they should fit fine.

Great thanks for that M8. I now just need to get hold of the seller as she is not responding to the email and its been a couple of days. I don't want to miss out on these if i can help it. They are a rare find in Tas, especially at 100 bucks.

Missed out on those I linked from Gumtree. I sent her some messages and finally was told they had sold. Having real issues finding a VL for wrecking, very scarce.

I have found another VL diff, trouble is he wants $350 for the complete unit. I'm wondering if that is a lot? And if I could sell anything off it on eBay once I remove the gears?

I have one other place to get a diff centre from. He wants $250 without axles. It's out of a sedan, am I right in saying this one should be no problems, I don't know if it's an auto or manual diff. Are the gears are the same anyway?
