differnce between Vy series 1 and 2 Calais?

My mates son not mine and from what i can see on vicroads website the owner can apply for an exemption, is that correct?

Here in SA if they drive their parents car they can get an exemption for it, no idea about vic

Similar story.

Also if it's registered as a company car he can drive it.

He can request an exemption for himself as private use, but it won't get permitted.

Wow that's expensive. I brought a series 2 vy Calais with same shale leather interior and ls1 for $14500
Looking at the pics Its definitely a series 1.

Both Series 1 and Series 2 came standard with the Supercharged V6.

The naturally aspirated V6 was optional. Despite this there are quite a few naturally aspirated V6 Calais out there.

A P plater can drive either Series 1 or Series 2 but only if it's the naturally aspirated V6.
Your mate has to apply for an exemption with vicroads to drive a supercharged V6. The super6 fits in vicroads guidelines for an exemption (100-125Kw/tonne, family/passenger vehicle). But they review the applications on a case-by-case basis, 99% of the time they will pretty much just be like... Supercharged commodore, how about no!

in regards to the price you guys are forgetting it has sen sigs on it, that bumps the price up atlest $4500!!!

on a serious note tho, its supercharged so he can't drive it regardless of series.

Very tidy car, not bad on the mileage but should still only be 15 maybe 16 k max. 20 k is way overpriced even with the mags
