G'day

I'm putting a new CAS in the VL ( she's been cutting out with no warning ) and am stuck on removing the bearing.I've done a search of the forum, can't find much. Do i need to remove the pins at the end of the shaft ? Any help much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply mad. I checked out the link, unfortunately there isn't anything on removing the bearing once you have taken the dis out. I've got the new CAS all ready to go, there's no orange dust in the dis around the bearing, and there's no play in the shaft, but the CAS came in a kit with a new bearing. Just reading some of the posts on CAS's most guys reckon on replacing the bearing while you're at it. Any other ideas most appreciated.

Get in the ute
the dizzy shaft goes through the bearing "downwards" - when i dismantled one (mind you I didn't care if it went back together or not) I just smashed the top of the shaft (where the button goes) downwards through the bearing.
