ok guys having truble understanding how this is meant to go..i need to know do the two differnt coloured links on chain mean any thing and the lil dot on top cog what is that? i just need to know where the circle is meant be in refernce with the keyway for bottom cog .cheers guys any help would be appreciated ..reaaalllly wna hear my new cam puurrr ...will post pic in 5 minutes to

the 2 coloured links line up on the righthand side of the engine on both sprocket dots

ahh ok theres three slots on bottom cog 0 a and r ..then theres that again on outside of cog?

if cog on 0 on the keyway use 0 on outer edge to line up with chain link. if on A keyway use A on chain

ok done that so now do i just spin cam until it matches hole on top cog and spin crank until matches the 0 keyway?

Turn engine to number 1 TDC, put crank gear on crank at 0, put the gold link of the chain in line with the 0 mark on the outside of the gear, line the other gold link up with dot on cam gear and bolt it on to the cam. Job done.

Or, if all else fails, read the instructions...

A is to advance the cam, 0 is standard timing, R is retard the cam timing.
You should only have to play with advancing and retarding the cam timing if you've bought the wrong cam for your engine.
Best to match 0 degree to 0 degree with your 9 links (7 inbetween coloured or marked links) to the position on your gregory's manual, i'd describe the rough locations but it's best you look at the picture in a manual to see where to position the cam and crank markers.
