DVD Unit form USA?

Hi, I tried searching the forums but nothing comes up...
I am looking at getting a double din Pioneer dvd unit from the USA and was wondering if it will pick up Au radio stations or will it be the same as the Asian models that have dramas picking up stations here in Oz?

FM will be fine. AM frequencies will be off, but some units have the option of changing the AM frequencies to match other regions. I think your main problem will be that it will be locked to region 1 DVDs. So you need to only use US DVDs or copy your region 4 ones and remove the region coding.
