I have a Ryobi and love it. Has really changed how I work. I use a manual ratchet far less.

How do the common brands stack up against each other?

Yup, these tools sure help save your wrists. I still use a manual ratchet or torque wrench to do the final torquing though.

I have an air ratchet as air powered tools just work better than battery in my garage environment.
To be honest I mostly do stuff by hand unless it's in a tight spot. Air ratchet won't crack a tight bolt/nut on air alone but use it like a standard ratchet and then air power it off once cracked.
I really should use it more often though

I have the same set up,
All air tools And it works well for me.
However I still use a standard ratchet, more that an air ratchet,
And manual torque wrench’s, 1/4, 3/8 & 1/2.
But in tight spots, a air ratchet is very handy.

I have an air ratchet, but until recently I would often forget to pull it out. I want a new air ratchet though as the new tech in these uses about 1/2-1/3 the air the old ones do. Although the ones that use lass air can not be bought for $40 from SCA and Repco. The good ones come from specialist tool shops. And come to think of it I was wondering what my next tool purchase would be. A trick new air ratchet might be the go.

I use a milwaukee m12 and it is amazing, only issue i have is once the batteries get a bit older they get a bit loose and need a whack or a wiggle to get going

I wish I went with Milwaukee. They weren’t really on the scene much in Australia when I started going to battery tools. Ryobi were all over it like white on rice. So now everything is Ryobi.

Yeah I had the m18 stuff so made sense to stick with the same brand, ive been looking at upgrading a couple of bits lately but the prices have gone through the roof

Similar here. Makita 18v and Milwaukee M12 tooling.

Was using the M12 ratchet yesterday.
Went with the 1/2 version when buying it and just got some adaptors to bring it to 3/8 and 1/4.
Its not bad for quickly doing some jobs or where its a bit hard to swing a spanner or ratchet.
Still think you get a better feel with hand tools though, although battery stuff does help with reducing efforts.
