hi guys, new to this forum. Engine light suddenly came on today. It has been serviced (2 months ago) with no issues. Checked the oil and that seemed fine. I did change the battery 1 week ago but cant see there would be any relevance to that. Any advice would be great.

O2 sensors maybe.
I have to fill up on 98 octane to keep mine off.

Codes need to be read with a scanner.
Supercheap will scan your car for a price.

As above need to get the codes read, there’s a thousand different reasons the check engine light can come on

to give you an idea of how random it can be engine light in my car was oil pressure sensor - so only scanning the codes will tell you.

Turns out it is the oil pressure sensor and cat bank ? Something like that. Second hand fitted $450 does that sound reasonably priced ???

Have you got a written quote ?

If so, what does it actually say ?
