My 6.2 has a twin 2.5 inch exhaust and it makes exactly the same horsepower with either straight 4 into 1 extractors or with the exhaust fitted, all it does is loose torque down in the lower rpm with less back pressure " straight extractors "

A) It's wrapped wrong
B) It's not designed for applications like that
C) Do you live on youtube, you have to have a freaking video for everything!

exhausts can be tuned to use pressure waves to push mixture back into the combustion chamber. this way you can leave the exhaust valve open longer. positive pressure waves are generated by the exhaust pulse running along the exhaust pipe and hitting a solid obstacle (i.e. the silencer), then bouncing back and returning to the exhaust port. removing the obstacle changes (weakens) the pressure wave amplitude and upsets that process.

exhausts are more complicated than just destricting the flow, you are just as likely to make things worse by fitting a big pipe and hi flow muffler, even if it sounds like it's making big power.

All very much down to the design of the muffler. In that regard, thats why Edlebrock and magna flow mufflers cost $250 and a whole redback system costs $200...
