Yes, very smart on the current models. And certainly faster than shifting manually. And with the smart electronics, they can adjust the engine revs perfectly for superb down changes. A couple of perfect quick downshifts can be done lap after lap. Great on the track. My driving is country touring; I'd opt for a sitck shift too. A 550 would suit me perfectly; gotta get me a V12 one day!

No worries, Jarp. It's horses for courses. You buy the gearbox that suits the way you want to drive it - or - get a CVT if you want to be driven! lol
