Does anybody know which car takes less peterol vs or vt. I know they have the same engine but the Vt is sugnificantly heavier so should take more petrol or does it have a different ecu which causes it to take less fuel. ?? help me please.:)

definately the vs...the vt is one of the worst commodores* for fuel economy, i think there were definately teething problems with tuning the ecotec with the new body shape of the vt after the vs.

*the vk, i believe has THE worst economy of any 6cyl. commodore.

I have a vr commodore and get about 356km per tank with extractors and 2.5 inch pipe cat back. I know that most people with vs's can't get over 400km per tank. So if a Vt has the same mechanical aspect as a vs but is heavier how can it achieve greater fuel econmy.

The VB had the Red motor, the VC (and VH) ran the Blue motor with the 12 port head, that's why ENV5 suggested the first car is the VB rather than the VC. Because the VC an VH have the same motor and it's the same car so they should use the same amount of fuel, they both use less than the VB thanks to the Varijet carby (a 2 barrel version of the Quadrajet)

hey man, im just telling it how it is...the vk is notoriously thirsty.
have a look at that chart, on highway driving both the vk and vt jump up in consumption compared to their surrounding models.
