Hey guys so I was just wondering how much of a difference fuel type makes in your car both performance wise and also distance wise?

Is paying the extra cash worth it to put shell V power over the other ****?

Also what do you use and why I'm interested in hearing what everybody has to say!

You are better off running your car on 95 or 98 if you can get it , as for brand that's up for debate , personally I run mine on Mobil 95 octane with no problems .

BP ultimate is the most stable 98 octane fuel. No matter the car I run it. Even the work car runs on ultimate and it's a crappy lancer.

Have been told by two different engine tuner/builders that 98 will provide a 3 to 4 kilowatt increase over 95 and so on. The higher octane will also produce a longer fuel range per tank and burn cleaner inside your engine.
Personally i only run my SS on 98 and i have had the car recently tuned to run exclusively on 98.

You will find 95 will often be 91 with 10% ethanol as well.

I only run BP 98 in mine, I have noticed a bit of a difference but a co worker claims he gets about 100 extra kms from using it

I've always ran my ssv on 98. It just feels smoother and also get 50-80kms extra depending on driving.

If my car had 11.7 CR I'd only run 98 or 100. But if my car was high comp with direct injection and VVT like yours I would mod injectors and tune for ethanol! :yarr:
