given that HSV has had the LS3 in the vehicles for a long time.
I think thats more of a problem for HSV owners than it is for SS owners. From a resale perspective, there is no harm being grouped into a circle with cars that cost their original owners a lot more !
When you think about it though, its an interesting time for many different reasons, not just Commodores going away. Almost across the board, V8's are being abandoned, turbos are being fitted to smaller capacities, engine noises are being played through speaker systems and electric cars are rising. Its hard to predict what effect such a monumental shift will have on future values. In the short term these dinosaurs are going to appear like unapologetic pollution machines and possibly be devalued purely by their image. In the long term they may stand as a symbol of motoring passion from a bygone era and give some future generation a way to express their individualism like the hipsters of today.... only time will tell.
