Hey everyone - New member here.

I've been driving the family Commodore's for about 4 years now but have only just bought my own. It's a '93 VR Berlina Sedan.

There is a problem I've got with the indicator on the left hand side of the car. The rubber seal has warped and it doesn't click back in the hole properly. I was wondering where I can either buy a new blinker or replace the seal?

I look forward to my time here on the forum and will be visiting regularly. I hope you don't mind if I ask a few questions every now and then but I am very new to the whole D.I.Y to your car stuff and have a very limited knowledge of mechanics.

I know it looks like it's in the hole and yes it does go in - but it falls out very easily. The slightest bit of wind or a bump on the road would knock it out heaps easy.

You can buy a new unit either from a Dealership or a wreckers.

Run a bead of SIKAFLEX around the inside of the rubber, push it in, tape it to hold it in for 24 hours..........don't blow the globe though in the future........or you might be lucky and get one at a Holden wreckers.

Where can I get these clear indicators from?

EDIT: Forget that - ebay has several listings. I can't believe I didn't think of ebay earlier haha.

Clear indicators will pass a roady. Just make sure you get amber globes if you switch to clear indicators. If your car has orange indicators, chances are it will have clear globes.

You could also go to a wreckers and grab some. VT series 1 had orange and series 2 had the clear oval indicators from memory.
