Your car definitely appears to be an SL. It doesn't have the extra chrome that SL/Xs had, and it has the single colour door trims of an SL. I'm guessing your build plate would say something like VH8VK69, the K meaning it's an SL.

That definitely looks to be the original paint, and given that it appears to be in such great condition, it really would be a shame to repaint it.

Also, the carpet is actually the wrong colour for that interior (my car has the same interior) if you want to go for originality. It should be dark brown, the same colour as your dash, console, etc.

Very clean VH, you got a bargain there.

You got it, it is an SL (build plate). I like the beige carpet, i was thinking of a blue one when i was getting one but that would be to much out there

But sooner or later this thing will be an HDT replica but that's not scheduled for another few years. Thats why i was going to make it red.

Don't know yet, but it will be simplistic. It's not going to have the whole bonnet scoop thing or any side-skirts. Maybe just the front spoiler and the SS badges and so on, i'll be happy with that. But i could always change my mind and repaint it dark blue with pearl and leave it at that.

Couple of questions . Where did you get the car carpet ? And is it easy to fit ?

eBay has a seller who specialises in the moulded carpets. Cutting holes in the right places is tricky, but not that difficult, just make sure you double check it before attacking it with scissors

The carpet is pretty good, i'm happy with it, although i haven't seen other ones.
