VS Acclaim
Interior Light

I have a VS Acclaim and put a green led in my interior light on sat.
The one I took out was really big and I wasn't sure it would fit, but once you get it in it fits fine.

$10 from Supercheap

the 31mm bulb fitted perfectly, but the shocker was a waste of $9. I tried it in the dark - about 9pm, and hardly lit up ****!

What im thinking of doing is buying some globe/heat paint from an auto shop, and painting my original (VERY BRIGHT) bulb red.

Is there a big brightness difference between the 31 and 36mm LED Bulbs?

Don't paint the bulb....thats a bigger no no then using cellophane;) You can paint the inside of the cover with a VERY light mist.

argh! lmao..

first I was told to go the simple cellophane, but I can see the logic behind the heat etc, then LED's but the scummy ones I got are dull and don't even light up my glovebox lid, now not even heat resistant paint?

I think I might go and get a F&&k off red LED for my car!!!

Heh, the paint will resist heat on the bulb alright...reflect it straight back at the filament and blow it VERY quickly.
