Glove box

Hi is the glove box key in a 2012 sv6 series 2 ve commodore the ignition key or is it a separate key??

Different. It looks like one of the old school double sided ignition keys instead of the rectangular commodore key.

We didn't get a glove box key when we bought our pre loved VE either.
If you have the log books it will list the glove box key code number. I expect if you take that code to a locksmith they will be able to cut you a key no drama. We haven't bothered with ours as we never keep anything valuable in the glove box.

This has just made me realise I didn't get one when I bought mine either.

Are they all hanging out with the 10mm sockets ?

Ditto, we didn't get one with ours
either, and only 1 ignition key.

I wouldn't regularly use the glovebox lock, I've heard they fall apart

I left the glovebox key in the glovebox.

Neither did i. I didnt even think of getting a locksmith to use a code to make a key, i waited for a ebay sale and got the one in the link.
