Very interesting development.

Now if BMW took it over, that could be very awesome.
If Tata took it over, could be disastrous.
However, if it happens, we won't have a say in it, until it comes time to vote with our wallets.

Do you realize that TATA own Jaguar and Landrover (amongst others) and have done since the GFC in 2008

If GM do give up the Holden name , it won't be the end of the world , if it gets taken over it might just be it's saving grace .

Lol's Tata make some pretty quality vehicles. I'd have no problem buying one. Depending on where they source parts they might be pretty cheap too.

I thought the Chinese woned Jag now? I stand corrected. Anyway however from what I have heard none of Jag latest offerings have been class-leading brilliance.

Given Mazda is quite successful in this market, Aussie built mazda 3s could be the go.

TATA would be ideal, as they generally stay in the country and they donate a fair chunk of their profit to charity.

Don't be scared.
