So Maloo performed faultlessly, no problems at all.
In fact a hoot , as always.
= a few times , both going down and on the way back = select 3rd ( 4 speed auto) , give it a stab , overtake someone ( expressway of course ) = back off after listen to it on the overun = ( I'd be in soooo much trouble in a manual of this).

Coming up out of Brooklyn , in 3rd, around 3000 rpm , I'M guessing and under load , up a hill = that Aussie v8 sound reverberating off the rock walls can you see my SMILE while I type this.

So some of the pics from the day = in keeping with Maloo/ute thread thyme, ( well apart from a couple I like ).
Probably post rest in automotive porn.

Some extremely nice vehicles

Had to add this one here ,
Although front on can't tell it's a Maloo, but it is a dam nice 1 ( from memory about the 2nd last).
not many vr/vs utes , just that nice white 1 ( 1st off last post ) , a red full on BNS ute and this Black series iii Maloo.
Met the owner 2 years ago at the last All Holden Day I went to ( turns out he lives about 15 /20 minutes from me and has great taste , ha ha, as he also has a 03 Monaro!!!

I was enjoying so much didn't even think take photos until the end = so a couple of quick snaps.

A slightly different view to the carport contents .
We've all heard it big cars don't sell = I know it's slightly optical , the maloo is quite a bit longer but the width is way closer ( in real dimensions but optically!!! ). 1996 big ute to 2015 normal size hatch!!!?
Enough rant .
Stopped in to Kennard's yesterday on the way home from the misuses, = hire a airater = a big drum ( fill it with water ) with spikes attached to poke holes in the lawn.
Ol mate goes it's quite difficult to lift out by yourself = ( I must look old an decrepit ) because it ain't difficult at all . ( was in the i30 ) .
Went home grabbed the maloo and threw it in .

Anyway parked like this at tomorrow use it to get top soil to throw on lawn and easier to get in/out of like this in short turn arounds.= ( Fxxk climbing over from passenger side).
Just thought I'd throw up a different view.
Also when dropping back went to Warners at the Bay beer run, when pull up ( must have leapercy ) as overheard 2 guys talking older or newer than yours but they didn't come an chat even though 2 common interests beers an maloos

Yeap , used today, 2 scoops of top soil first time, could feel the floaty feel, didn't put any air in the pol air bags ( only 5 minutes to my place) .

Second time 1.5 scoops ( fig jam = I judged that to perfection).
Ol mate goes I sore you turn up the first time. Don't see many of these around any more, dam sham they don't make any more.

Looks good for it's age, me = good used condition.
Me I'm 3rd owner bought off= 2nd owner who had from 1999 to 2012 = what= wow

Also having seen literally just as we're turning up last weekend to Speers point park spot a really good looking one just leaving = 10 second talk with owner.

Am consensus of that these are collectors now ( feeling slightly guilty)and useing as it's designed to is no where near the normal now = but it is mine and use is better than no use.

No biggie , a month since used last and that was a few 5 minute trips to pick up , top soil and such.
Work xmas party this arvo at Murray's brewery.
Decided yesterday arvo would give a run today .
So to work ( no real traffic , even for my normal morning work trip=so was great). Then to the brewery at lunch time, a burger and a couple of beers and then home = fun.
A not very good photo and a few take homes.

Well the Maloo hasn't been used since just before christmas pink slip run = yes it lives for another 12 months ( 11 now).= happy

Was going to and wanted to use this weekend but too dam hot = AC not working = needs regasing so used the monaro for errand runs on Friday and Saturday. Yess soft now = remember when it was a luxury or a novelty.

New laptop ( well my first laptop), ( bought the missus one years ago) , they've moved on since then ( not surprisingly)
touch screen like my tablet but all the computer features.

My point , well I couldn't download a picture with imgur on my tablet( not sure if me or it's just not possible ).

So a pic of it under cover in the carport next to the daily from my laptop
And hopefully use it next weekend or the one after

More is better but all I what is a good clean preferably virgin block .
Fxxxxxxxxk for 1 minute I thought here I am = not only a 304 block but a complete engine = for what people asked for them a while back.
Google/facebook suggested here listed a day ago = I think a chance= message guy after looking where located= ( fxxxxxk only 3.2 kms away) = fxxxxxxxxxxk = sold pending pick up.= Fxxxxxxxk

People are now asking compared to a few years ago ( polictaly ) ( spelling ****) ( as well as ) really= money!!!!!!

Fxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxk , why did I not take up my mates offer a few years back = roller engine =complete for 500 smackaroos

If you can't tell = I really want a block to evenually build a really nice engine for this while keeping the standard block for matching # prosperity.

Although I can only speak for Tas these old V8s are becoming rare. You wouldn't believe it but so are Buick engines. I think when they are worn out, people just scrap the engine with the body because the cost of a reco is way too expensive.

What we will see is that there will be very little sound V8 engines around. Probably not an issue on the mainland but in Tas you will be searching high and low to find a good cond Buick engine. There are none in Hobart and none in Launceston, none in Devonport. I imagine a sound 304 engine would be basically impossible to find anywhere in the state unless you buy a complete vehicle. As for a roller cam forget it.......
