GTR VT Who made these mod and badged them ? Photos added

We have a 98 VT exec with GTR badging iside and out
wanted to find out who made these mods to aquire a set of replacement bits
the car was a Mel. car original but was imported to SA for the second owner and now we own it as the third owners

the badges are on airbag inside (GTR 195i) limited plate on radiator support
and GTR stickers on HSV VR wheels, GTR stickers on rear doors near bottom and right hand boot GTR sticker
has R8 look alike kit side skirt with front end like SS model without center bars and statesman rear wing, and rear end like R8 model
the engine feels more powerful than stock V6 but no mods made to except rear muffler is stainless non factory but still quiet like stocker

any help would be great as I see lots of these roaming the streets in adelaide

Wernt those VT GTR's just some model made up by car yards to make em look special?
Whats the go with the GTR 195i badge? i doubt your V6 has that much grunt.

VT and VX "GTR"s are 'Dealer specials', made up from executives or occasionally berlinas, and are pretty much just stock but with a Clubby bodykit. The engine is only a stock V6 Ecotec. They were only made to clear excess yardstock! There seems to be a lot of them in SA and I was told they were only done in SA?? Not sure how true that claim is though....

probably lots in SA as i belive Adelaide special vehicles were involved with the kits or something like that. they got together with the dealers perhaps.

Actually, the GTR's are Super 6's with bodykits that were installed by the dealership and could only be found on VT's and VX's.

The GTX is an Executive Ecotec V6 with a clubsport bodykit. Well the ones in WA anyway. I've seen a few with Manta kits and a few that look like Senators, but in reality are just Execs or Berlinas

That's not correct...I've never seen a Super6 GTR...they have always been regular Ecotec's...well at least thats the case here in SA.

I've never seen or heard of a GTX...maybe they are just a WA thing?

The car has a unique front bar a lot lower then the ss kit or manta
and the motor is stock except the muffler. the car is lowered to FE2 standards

it would be the same case as the ac cobra's. dealers who couldn't move em make somthing a little different
