Hi guys, the car cranks over but won't start, after about a min of trying to start it starts, done it twice now. Excessive use of cranking to start.
When it does fire up it runs normal.

Thinking i will look at the plugs in the morning, any vac hoes that might be off. But wondering if it might be the DFI Module or something else?
Any ideas?

Has new Battery, Leads, Starter Motor.

Crank for 20sec and then pull the plugs to see if they are wet and go from there. Gotta be fuel, spark or air.

Vac hose shouldn't make it difficult to start, but it'll run like ****.

Any codes logged?

Sounds like a fuel issue.

When it eventually starts, when you turn off, then try to restart, does it start straight away?

My vt used to take approx. 20 seconds for the first start of the day. Turn it off, then restart, it would restart straight away.
In my case, it was the fuel pump. It would bleed down over night. I was told it was a oring that was the culprit. Loose pressure over night.
Once started, there would be enough pressure in the line for the restart.

Don't know if it's the same for you?

Just back home... it started first go and ran great all day. Started it about 5 times.
My brother used the Ute the other day when it played up for me and he said it got hot, wonder if it was just some sort of vapor lock going on?

Spoke too soon lol, wouldn't start this morning, had a few goes but nothing, came home 3 hrs later starts first go.
Turned off and on again not a problem.

Might get a Fuel Pump as they are not that expensive $50 there abouts.

It's not sounding like a fuel pump now?

Crank or cam angle sensor?

Scan it for codes.

Well looked up symptoms of faulty IAC, which say hard to start, so i swapped it out with near new one i had here.
Old one looks a bit sad
But it seems to be starting properly for the moment
