Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, Fuel Pressure Regualtor, Service of car, Oxygen Sensor, Crank Angel sensor, Alternator, Battery, all been replaced, car still takes a fair while to start.. 2 tries or about 8 secs to start, some one told me on justcommores that it maybe my injectors, so i ran the additive and that didnt work, i dont really wonna have to get em fixed if thats not the problem coz ive spent to much money on trying to fix the bugger, any other suggestions?

and displays error code 12, which is fine ??

Additives are average to ok you can get the whole fuel system including injectors etc done for around $100 from memory. My mate has a vs v6 was running like crap had this done and it went like a new car afterwards.

I think the system is called injceticalean or something like that. I think my mate had it done at midas

Check your plugs and their gaps (1.5 mm), as well as leads. Do a search on here for the resistance per length of lead (cant remember what it is, have seen it here somewhere) and they should be around the same- check with a multimetre. Check the resistance of your coils. Primary (two elctrodes underneath) 0.3-1.5 ohms, Secondary (two electrodes on top), 5k-7k ohms.

well guess wot, the new fuel pump i got its rooted, it takes heaps to long to build the pressure when starting, but somethign that suprised em was wen the car was switched off, the pressure droped imediatly, its meant to stay for a few seconds they said.

Inside the tank the fuel pump slides into a rubber, push fit, 'joiner block' doesn't it? Maybe that is leaking. I think that there is also a check valve in there somewhere too. (Wish I could be more specific. Damn memory).

Not sure about VR, but if the fuel pump relay fails on VN/VP, the engine will be slow to start until oil pressure is generated thus closing the switch that provides an alternative power supply to the fuel pump. Easy to check.

Less likely:

Coolant temp. sensor but I would expect a code from that.

PCM.

Poor contact between key and the pick up around the column lock. Again I would expect a code.

What happens if you turn the key on then off, then try to start?

What happens if you squirt an alternative fuel supply, like carb. clean into the manifold and then try to start (too much will flood and cause a slow start also, so about a one second squirt only)?

Is it different hot to cold?
