Harmonic Balancer - LS3

After 53,000km trouble free motoring I hop in my car, turn it on and it sounds like a diesel.

It does appear that the Harmonic Balancer has collapsed on my 2016 VF2 Redline.

What's a better alternative to OEM? Dayco?

I think I will go the latter.

I was wondering what the pros and cons are with such a kit on a stock motor.

Pros: a bit freer revving, unleash a little bit more power
cons: if you do a lot of short trips perhaps your alternator won’t charge the battery properly but couldn’t really see it being an issue

1 more con, water pump wont pump as much water and possibly reduce your cooling capacity.

Probably drive the BCM nuts trying to get the(slower revolving) alternator to output the normal after start voltage.

When I changed my cam vfr2 I also changed my harmonic balancer.
I recommend the Powerbond OEM Replacement Balancer,
ARP balancer bolt
