.. GMH exported them to Thailand (LHD), Indoesia (LHD) Malaysia (RHD) and Singapore (RHD) amongst Asian countries and all the pics I have show fully complete vehicles (not in CKD form)

HDs with X2 engines were the first to have disk brakes an option (all HDs including Prems with 179 engines then followed). My first car was a HD 'Special' X2 manual with front disk brakes with added wide Torana rims (as pictured)

View attachment 242814Torana 6" rims with Bridgie radials, 2 leafs removed from the rear (standard they were far too stiff and leapt around + no rear sway bar .. way too stiff) plus HK v8 front springs . The trick to get them to handle is stiffen the front and soften the rear suspension (or load the boot with 4 or 5 bags of concrete mix)

Indonesia is RHD gm had an CKD assembly plant in surabaya .

They look a bit old and out dated as original with 13-15 inch mags but if u modernize one

New 2k paint job, get rid of the roof vinyl paint the whole car one colour have all the chrome pop, 18 inch wheels skinnies on the front and deep offset on the fat rears 10" wide 6" on front

It really sets them off they look sexy as

Shame the old girls didnt come with a/c and power steering

I believe AC can be retrofitted to a HR. I think it might be possible to also fit PS.

I believe you can retrofit the 1998 - 2005? astrat electric power steering pump to to just about anything? including my vt.

You're right...Vintage air do aircon to alot of vintage style cars like this....

The main issue is finding a power steer box and fitting it upto the HR.....

Didn't some of the later Prems have PS? I could be wrong but I thought it was possible to retrofit a later model steering box?
