Help please car wont start turns over then shuts down!!

hi everyone I have seem to run into a pickle with my auto 1998 vt commodore 3.6l ecotec so the story goes I was coming home from a party on a rainy night car was running fine all electricals central locking etc was working I locked it before I ran inside the next day my key doesn't work and central locking or just putting it in the door so I called the NRMA out he said he had no idea but he used his tools to unlocked it for me so I could try to start it when I try to turn it over it sounds like it wants to start then just dies and I tried again and the thermo fans came on full blast im not too sure whats wrong could someone please help me will be greatly appreaciated

Possibly an immobiliser issue. Did you do anything to damage the key at the party, and is it working again for the central locking?

Mine does that used to fully stuff me up know one knew the problem
i just wiggle the body controll module
Vwallah works a charm for me anyways

no I didn't drop it or anything im not too sure if its possible to get a tiny bit of rain into the key or anything but that could be the problem I took it too a locksmith today and they said I cant get a new and reprogrammed key until my original key unlocks the car so I don't know what to do I didn't get a spare when I brought it

you can unlock it with the actual door lock cant you? i know my VT has manual key hole and it unlocks everything again...

nope the locks all stuffed up I think someone broken into it

If the bcm plays up like mine
loose wiring or something in there
all power locking also boot doesnt work.
pretty sure operates ya immobiliser to hence your car not starting

hey got a new BCM and still same problem starts for a second then dies im going to take it too the mechanics and hopefully they havea tech 2 to link the bcm to the ecu and hope that makes a difference or whatevers wrong with it

I know it wont be cheap ... all work should come with a warranty

a new door lock /new programmed key ( this time you should get two)

no more hassles
