Copping a boot from a vk is supposed to be massive
So bad that ppl with bad tickers are warned about them.
I have never put it to the test as I can't imagine the damage it can do.
The most I've ever got is 240v off a dicy extension cord and believe me that is huge.

Looks like you found your problem, replace all HT leads (including coil).

Ignition it is. New leads and correctly gapped plugs,much better.

It's not the Volts that kill you it's the Amps. You can put 20,000 Volts through your body but if the Amps are non existent you will be fine, conversely 115 Volts can kill you if the Amps are running at 20.
