If your just for show stick a spacer under the carb. If not there are some manifold, carb & airfilter combinations that will make it sit higher. You would always stick a tunnel ram or batter will a duel tunnel ram on it.

But are you setting the car up for performance or for show? you should pick your manifold, carb & airfilter to suit what has been done to the engine not the other way around. Holley carbs have a gear site for a carb picker http://www.holleycarbs.com.au/carb_info.html, check out Redlines range on manifolds, but again picking these parts will depends on whats been done to the engine.

This goes for gearing as well, whats your cam profile what gearing are you running in your gearbox,how/where will the car be driven, what size wheel & tired will you use? This will all come into picking the correct final drive ratio.

If its going to be a streeter with a hot motor, theres no point running tall gearing because you will always be running around off cam so to speak.

cheers
Scott
