Looks like it's coming to an end. Government doesn't want to give anymore cash away, Holden GM saying they can't justify manufacturing without more cash.

Heard that on the radio yesterday , an announcement is due sometime next week I believe on Holden's future , but it looks like its all over in 2016

As it is, it's impossible to build cars in Australia mainly because it costs about double other countries, because whether you like it or not everyone has been paid more than they are worth for years.

In all fairness , roads are more of an local authority problem , but I know what you're getting at .
