hey all,
just got a POD on my car but it is sucking in some warm air from the radiator/headers etc. i want a cold air intake
but being a poor ####er i can't afford the $500 for an SS inductions one(as bad as i want it). is it possible to make
one or is there cheaper ones available?

It already had a cold air intake over the radiator, take off the pod and put it back the way it was. If you want to cool the air going into the motor from what I have read your better with a MACE insulating spacer between the inlet manifold and plenum chamber they are only around $150 from memory and easy to fit.

yea ive noticed that. had a few problems when i first installed it. i repositioned it and its not as bad but i cant imagine its doing it any good.

i had a kn pod on my vx ss for about 2 years had no problems . "i cant imagine its doing it any good " what do you think it is doing to your car???

mine was only $12 for the box just a bit of molding aluminium sheet from bunnings.. made one out of cardboard first then traced it onto the alli sheet..


100mm intake pipe was $15-20..(i got a few meters of it if ya want to buy any )

$32 for it all.. bloody bargain
