Sorry mate, did mean to have a go.

Just rims and placards can be swapped and unless he has access to a weigh bridge, kerb weight isn't all that helpful.

The point about the power antenna is helpful on the other hand.

VX SS (Original owner).
I have a Holden sales brochure here on the VTII range and the differences listed in the specifications in the brochure are below, not to say that any or all of them could not be added, but this is what the differences are according to the sales brochure:

GenIII V8 - option on the Exec.
Cruise Control - option on Exec.
LSD - option on Exec.
FE2 suspension - option on Exec.
17" x 8 alloy wheels.
Sports Graphite grille - what ever that is.

Sports Body Kit - which means no stop light in rear window as it is in the spoiler.
Probably a good one to differentiate between the Exec and SS. My VX SS has a blacked out panel in the glass on the rear window.

Front Fog Lamps.
Exterior Mirrors in body colour.
Chromed exhaust outlet - Accessory on Exec.
Leather wrapped steering wheel - Holden by Design accessory on Exec.
Power Antenna.
Sports Design cloth trim on seats.
Sports seats with high side support wings and bolsters.
Front seat headrests adjustable and padded.
Passengers seat adjustable lumber support.
Rear seat centre armrest, incorporated into the fold down section on rear seat. No armrest on Exec.
Power windows - Option on Exec.

Hope this helps.

thanks guys for all the suggestions, unfortunately for us all some of the things mentioned can be changed if your cluey enough to turn an exec into a mock up

jesterarts,if your codes are bang on the money its definately an ss. model code variations on this are 826 8BB. so it looks like it was a good deal, especially being a manual.score one for me,lol
