Hey trust me it was 122kw for the V8 5 litre carby first unleaded motor, I have a holden book which states- The VL V8 sold poorly compared to the turbo due to the fact that holden had a lot of problems with the switch to unleaded and the outcome was a measly 122kw compared with the VK 5 liter which was 160kw. quote= "The vl arrived just in time for unleaded petrol, and for a while there was no V8 optionas holden struggled to get the 308 to live with the lead free stuff. It eventually got a 5 litre VL to market in late 1986, but it wasn't exactly the finest hour for the 308 (304 actually as the engine was destroked to compete in the group a catagory). The engine was still carburetted and had trouble breathing, managing just 122kw when the smooth, Nissan derived straight six in the cooking models was making 114kw"
