why are you using your phone and driving at the same time?

Who said was a phone.

Mine is a camera that took 4 shots within a second.
Thats less time then me taking my eyes off the road and playing with the stereo
Thats less time then me taking my eyes off the road and having a snack or reaching for a drink.
Thats less time then me taking my eyes off the road and looking at the cluster

and one_and_only2004, thats some wicked economy there :)

you see if you drive at a reasonable speed , you get good economy , now if we can convince the Prius driving , Kaftan wearing, didgeridoo wielding , greeny this we'd be golden .

I haven't noticed it use oil but I get my mechanic to do all the services. I have noticed that the last 2 services he did it had way to much oil I had to take some out. The guy next door has a VE Wagon V6 I'm sure it's has the same motor and his getting 11.2L to the 100 around town. Don't wagons weigh more?? It's doing my head in.

You might want to check what grade of oil he used. It will affect fuel consumption if he used a 20w50 or 15w40

Curious to know what v8 owners on this thread recommend oil wise, if it makes that big a difference I'll change it next service.

Plenty of threads mate.

5.7 LS1 usually uses 5w30

I personally use a 10w40
Best so far in regards to oil I have tried.
Penrite 10w40 Tenths Racing
Royal Purple 10w40

Im gonna try Liqui-Moly Syn 10w40 soon

I dont use the cheap stuff. :(

5.7l/100km lol. Jeez, I can make my car show an average of 2 or less if I press the reset button on a downhill slope while coasting.

What's it's real economy?

A bit of slight of hand , and quick camera work and you can do many things , like photo shop can do wonders for people's egos on other threads here .
