Yeah, but the science behind how a spark plug works isn’t complex. It’s a gap between to bits of metal that a spark jumps across. The only variable thing about them is the distance the spark has to jump but manufactures make plugs with a range of gaps so it’s not like one manufacturer has researched that a particular distance works the best.

Of course you can’t put a ford escort up against a rolls Royce. They are both technical pieces of equipment that have taken years to develop.

I dunno. I guess it doesn’t really matter. I’m never going to be doing any high performance racing.

Hey there, a good set of plugs would be the NGK Iridiums they would set you back about $16-$18 each depending on where you buy them. They are better performing and are designed to not foul up(they have a chissled/resessed point on them), you could expect a little better fuel economy due to more efficiant igniting of the fuel, this also will give a little more power, not always obvious, also your plugs will last longer. See how you go.
Go the red lion!

Spark plugs use ac delco which is sold by Holden. (in Holden box) But don't buy from them as they are too dear. Buy from local store just plain A/c delco plugs. As far as leads go you can get all sorts of quality The best type, and more exspensive are spirial wound induction leads. These type of leads have a static resistance of around 2000 -2800 ohms per metre (Top Gun pro series) Bosch leads have around 5800 -6000 ohms per metre resistance and your standard commodore leads (V6) around 10000 ohms per metre resistance You can get MSD leads 1800-2200 ohms per metre and even lower in some specs. So how much money have you got????? By the way the V8 boys use a 8mm spirial wire ignition lead. Standard from Holden is 7 MM (V8)
The difference is amazing when you drive your car As they say "Just do it"
