Mate, it always best to do painting indoors if you can. Drying time will be dependant on how hot the days is, but dont spray if its above 30 degs as the paint dries to fast.
Wait about 1 min between coats of primer, leave over night then sand it back. Paint the colour the next day. Leave to dry over night before fitting to the car.
I would recommend grey primer because its compliemntary to the colour youre painting. A dark primer will give you a darker finish but you will use more paint trying to get an even cover.
Anyway, why dont you do the local library and grab a book on painting, it might save you time.
