how to achieve low 60' footers

i have been reading up on pples times with there cars and have noticed some 60' footers can range from 1.5s to 1.7s resulting in mid high 11s passes, what I like to know is how to achieve those same 60' footers compared to the 1.9s/2.0 as I seem to get, whats actually involved just like to know how its done.

Stall converter size 4500 - 5500, diff gears 3.9 or 4.11 - tight lsd, also you probably want as much squat in the rear when leaving the line eg fe2 springs
