If it wasn't sold to the public, why is there a heap of stock L34s that has been road rego since new?. The CAM licence was a wind up, thats been well documated in AMC issue 15.http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Australian-M...QQihZ010QQcategoryZ109525QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Whats with the repco/brabhan/holden. Only thing is the block, repco cast and the rest Holden.
And whats with the L34 a pore copy?.
Also i know a few experts on the L34/A9X, what i have said is correct.

What??? they are the same bloody thing!!!!! The L34 option pack is a L34 SL/R5000. Only difference is the L34 HO, more race components, the Banana manifold for weber carbys or holley.

the L34 repco was copyed to the exent of the valves only
and sold as such IE L34 heads made by third party to cash in on the name
typicly only contained L34 vaves 2/25" in diamiter
that it nothing more
beleve me the genuine L34 repco is 6bolt main and yes a stromberg 4bbl

Mate where are you getting your info?. I have seen 3 genuine L34 blocks striped and only had 2 bolt mains. And the 3 had Rochester carbys.
Look try to get that AMC mag and read what Harry Firth says about the L34, its nothing what so ever what you've have said.
I think your confused with the repco F5000 motor, used in F5000 race cars, they are completely different to the L34 Torana.

i dont wanna take someone elses thead
all i ask is check the serial numbers if
it starts with QR/QT then it's fake must start with HZ serials(engine block)

HZ for the factory L34 block, NZ for the replacement warrenty one. These where HZ prefix blocks not the HQ-HZ QT ones.

ALL 253-308 WERE STAMPED QR/QT HOLDEN
ONLY REPCO BLOCKES STAMED HZ
there was no factory stamped L34, only as an option
these engins were sold to race teams and speares were sold to other c.a.m licence
partyes i dont know how i can put it simpler
1st hand khowelege no book no hearsay no bs 1st hand

not all 253/308s were QR/QT, the Commodores had VR/VT and the Statesman had 11QT, WBs used WR/WT.
Also on the build plate for L34s, has ENG.L34, the SLR5000 used ENG.L31.
I can tell you your info is correct, even Harry Firth has came out and told the world about the L34.
History of The Holden V8 even has the CAM papers for the L34 torry in the back.

Oh and EDIT so your really saying these ppl that own a L34 are fakes?. If so i wouldn't tell the owners that, they would be very upset. Like telling a GTHO Phase III owner that its just a falcon
