I picked up a V6 out of a vn from the wreckers for 50 bucks, just so i could pull it apart and have a look around without worrying about if i **** anything up.

Pulled the heads off and removed all the rockers, but stumped on how to get the valve springs out? theres something that looks like a small C clip around the top. Im guessing i just need to remove this (special tool maybe?) or do i need a spring compressor aswell.

So you compress the springs, then what? Does this make the clip at the top of the spring accessible so it can be unclipped then the springs slide off the top?

Can someone link me to what a valve spring compressor looks like for a push rod? Ive done a search on ebay and they all say OHC compressors.
