So where are you getting your information on how deadly this thing is, media? Healthcare workers deal with sick and dying daily, it’s kind of their job.

Why are 99% of deaths linked to aged care and not all the other unhealthy people you mentioned? If this virus is so deadly, why are 99% of positive cases told just to stay at home, surely they would need constant medical attention for such an evil virus.

Quarantining healthy people, weakening everyone’s immune systems.

You do know over 900 people died in Australia last year from Influenza? 1163 in 2017. Did we ever destroy our economy and thousands of people’s livelihoods for that? Also these deaths occurred from a virus we already have a vaccine for.

All we are focused on is 2 numbers every day, number of cases, deaths of people who died WITH covid.

What about the other numbers, suicides, mental health, alcoholism, domestic violence, child abuse, the hundreds of businesses that will cease to exist, an economy that will be in recovery mode for 30 years.

At some point you have to weigh up this vs that.

We have gone past the point of eradication in this country, they had that chance.

They need to lose their love affair with lockdowns in a hurry because things are going south very quickly.

Do you really believe that without intervention this virus would have had the same impact? More people would have been affected, more people would have died. The numbers don't lie. Lockdowns, social distancing, preventative measures, they all work.

The number of people that died from Influenza, what percentage were they of total infections?

There are things that kill people every day, we have controls for most of them, some are out of our control. One less virus in the world can't be a bad thing. Until we find a vaccine or effective treatment, prevention is the only solution.

Mate this virus isn’t going anywhere. With or without a vaccine. People still die from the flu every year, thousands around the world, even after taking the vaccine, mostly elderly.

So after our six weeks in prison and the numbers per day are still in the hundreds what do you suggest then? Cripple the economy further? People are on their last legs as it is.

What are you on about cripple the work force? Look at the numbers of active and recovered cases!

People isolate at home after testing positive, then once testing negative and their runny nose dries up they go back to work?

We're doing alright here in WA. So is Tassie. Quarantine, isolation and distancing works.

NZ is doing just fine.

What we don't know is what will happen if this virus goes unchecked. It has shown it can mutate. There are 6 strains now that have developed in 10 months. The economy will recover.

There is massive amounts of people with permanent lung, liver, kidney and heart issues now. Recovered means they no longer have covid not that they're as fiting fit as they once were.

We have cases, but all imported. No local transmission for months. We are pretty much firing on all cylinders, just limits on numbers in some venues.
