You probably will have lost a bit of down low torque with those big headers etc, LS1 engines are a bit sluggish down low anyhow once you get the otr and tune it will feel a lot more punchy
Yeh mate your probably right. I read a heap of threads leading up to purchasing extractors

Yeh I think that will be it. I read so many threads prior to picking the extractors, some people saying the 1 7/8" pipes will lose down low torque some say you wont. Turns out you do. Cant wait for the intake and tune.

u could even have burst retard activating now because of the increase airflow from the headers and its prob removing timing, the tune will gain it back

Ok update, took the heat shields off the two suspect plugs and 'clicked' them back in position and went for a drive. No hesitation, no spluttering or popping when under full acceleration or low revs in high gear which Is great. Might of found our culprit. It's interesting to see score/damage mark said on the metal shields where it looks like It was binding on the header flange. Good result. Still feels somewhat sluggish though (maybe it's the big pipe). Took Dad for a drive and he doesn't seem to think so......

Anyway going to get some high temp lead protects and use them instead of the metal shields.

Thanks for the suggestions. Next up OTR and MAFless tune
its not nessesary, a k&n filter in the factoty air box will be sufficient

Better late than never, just picked the car from getting a RAMJET intake, New Bosch leads and a MAFless tune. Feels great, so much power through the rev range especially >4000rpm. 253rwkw which is pretty solid. Feels even better than the number though. No more popping or stuttering ha ha.
