using after market gauges is easy, you just need an additional oil sender... tapped in with a T piece...

original vz gauges cannot be fitted easily... yet...

I'm working on a kit to convert vz gauges to work in vy. hopefully will have it done in a few more weeks

T-sender is the way to go ;) What's the difference in the VZ stuff? Do you mean VZ factory gauge kits? Off the top of your head, do you know the thread size for the VY factory oil pressure switch?

Gonna go pick up the Autotecnica digital gauges from Repco on special for after the rebuild to watch oil temp and pressure. It's Mum's car so I reckon digital gauges will show her numbers and not a meter making it easier. Don't really need anything else. Can monitor coolant temps from the dash. Was gonna go the SAAS kit for $200 which isn't a bad price seeing as the gauge/sender kits alone are about $65. I think the gauge pods are about $80 a pop but if you hunt around you can get them for less than that...I'm hoping lol...maybe a trip out the wreckers next week.
