2011 ve ute sv6
Hey, I have ve 2011 ute and the interior is rough, I would like to replace it to make it look more tidy. it is my first car and I am not sure what to do. I would like to eventually install new speakers and add a sub/amp. How much will cost?

Sound system for something basic will start at $1500 and up depending on what you want. Not sure what you plan to do to your interior as being rough doesn't give away much. But if you need to recover seats that will set you back around $1000 or so per seat. If you have a manual and need to replace the shifter console they can be bought for about $300, aftermarket, maybe a bit more I can't remember exactly what I paid. You will need a specialist motor trimmer to repair your seats as being Series II you will have airbags, Series I don't, not in SV6 and SS ute anyway. If you need carpet, then that's a big job and for you, I hope this is not the case.

Ok thank you all I need is a driver-side seat and the carpet is fine it's just more of the doors, roof sagging, and center console broken. I also need to fix the suspension, and power steering pump and just give it a service

Seat will $1000 or a bit more. If the foam needs a full rebuild then you could be looking at another $500 or more on top and it's likely it will be buggard. If you need a backrest foam then good luck finding one, if you do it will be around $400 or more now. The backrest drivers side, side bolster will be buggard I bought one of the last new backrests available and it was over $350 IIRC. Probably best to buy a SH passenger seat and use the base but get it reinforced with mesh, when he recovers it, or it won't last. You won't be able to use the backrest as they are side specific. The base can come from any SV6, backrest are also ute specific. Door trims from a Calais are quite nice and are about $200 a pair from a wrecker. Repair Bull can quote the headlining, but at a guess it will be around $350-$400. Not sure what part of your console is broken, is the shifter console cracked?

The shifter is just worn and the leather is going but the knob is alright for now. I just want to get it road-worthy and then add an exhaust, rims, and a cam. The engine already makes 210 kw. I bought the car for $1000 and planning adding 5-8k on top of that.

Your single biggest expense will be getting the seat repaired. It cost me just shy of $1000 to have my seat repaired that was parts and labour. Mine had about 6-7 panels replaced so wasn't a full recover either. That didn't include a new base as I supplied the wrong one so he had to rebuild mine.

Nothing in that ute will be cheap to bring back to good condition. Parts are getting hard to find for VE as well as earlier models.
