When the VB was released, though, it WAS a revolution and got rave reviews in the media because it WAS a more sensible and modern car than anything else made here at the time.

I think the first body went one or two models too long though and as Holden's fortunes faltered during the 80's, so did their quality control. The VL's were bloody awful.
