If you can fit your wrist between the guards and the tyres it isn't too low.

that is in no way a unit of measurement.. everyones wrists are different sizes.. we are talking legal heights and actual figures.

IN SA the cops have a full list of what is called eyebrow heights. I know this because I just got defected for my WH being 60mm to low. Now its raised and about to go over regency and looks like a friggen bus.

Is there a way that I can lower it legally by getting it engineered or something. Not happy four years of work down the drain and just got it to a point where i was really happy with it.

depending on how much its worth to you... you could just do as others do and play the game... get defected, raise vehichle, get defect cleared, lower vehicle again

stay away from street car hot spots and don't drive like a tool and chances of you being pulled up will decrease significantly

forget about engineers certificates

ROTFL..... Nobody would need eyebrow heights to defect a car that is 60mm too low. That car is a danger to it's occupants along with everybody around it and deserves to be put off the road.

Hmmm..... 7 in the morning and we have a winner for stupidest post of the day already. WTF would you advise him to do that? Cars need suspension travel for a reason. Believe it or not, the standards are there for other reasons than to be annoying to you. :bang:

My VP is actually higher than stock, lucky too because the exhaust only clears by about 10.0000000000 cms

I actually drove it around like that for 3 years before getting pulled over and he pulled me over for my friggen driving lights. I know 60mm sound really low but the statesmans have a really high minimum height which is actually the stand height they come out from the factory. I am not a hoon and am not into the whole street racer thing so I dont hang around those crowds at all and because its on gas I had to put raised springs in it to make it sit above the legal limit because out of factory they are to the mm. Now it sits 60mm higher than standard how can that be safer my headlights point to the floor and I swear the thing would roll if I go around a high speed bend in the country. the gas system put an extra 30mm lower due to the weight which was put in two years after it was lowered

I understand that that is why I was asking if there was another way.

A statesman will have the same minimum ride hight as any other car - 100mm fully laiden (+ min 2/3 suspension travel in vic - dunno about SA on that one).

I am not a hoon and am not into the whole street racer thing so I dont hang around those crowds at all and because its on gas I had to put raised springs in it to make it sit above the legal limit because out of factory they are to the mm. As long as your car is level (as it should be) then your lights will be minimally different than before. If they are aimed incorrectly then you might need to adjust them which is easy done. From your statement above, it sounds like your suspension is realy messed up. Trot down to your local suspension specialist for a propper assessment.

in adelaide it goes by eyebrow heights, here they are.

Frustrating that I cant lower my car below standard because they come out from factory right on the limit. and with a gas tank it is now 30mm too low with standard springs in it.
It wasnt stupid low with still at least 100mm clearance underneath and the guards sat perfectly on top of the tyres with no scraping issues inside the guards whatsoever with 18s on it, just scraping issues underneath with speedhumps
