The Russians have their own problems. The last thing we want is that bully Putin deciding that the only way forward for Russia is to invade a few more sovereign territories ( I think the Russians need a bitch slap for what they are doing in the Ukraine).

This whole problem started with Syria and will only ever be sorted out when Assad is over thrown which won't happen as long as he's buying weapons from Russia. Russia is cash strapped and needs the income. IS formed in the lawless regions of Syria because no one was willing to step in and assist the rebels against Assad during the so called "Arab Spring" a couple of years ago which saw the fall of a few other dictatorships in the middle east.

Sadly, the only force that is holding IS in check are the Kurdish and they are getting the cold shoulder from everybody in their struggle as their civilians get slaughtered by IS. I personally think these guys should be armed, Well supplied Kurdish fighters are more than a match for IS.

Too bad the US President is an Islam sympathist.

Not his fight , this should be soley an arab/muslim fight and he's doing what they should by providing air support
and don't kid yourself that he hasn't got 'boots on the ground' because their special forces dosn't come under that umbrella
and he could have 20,000 special forces there , un be known to us , engaging and it still wouldn't be boots on the ground.

They should send in the French foreign legion , they'll sort it out by lunch time .

I totally agree with the Kurdish be armed the teeth and should have the strip of land between turkey and Iraq/Syria all the way to the Med.

Look at Iraq, and Afghanistan, both shouldnt have gone on for as long as they did, and in the end, no real result. Obama knows the last invades didnt work, and
sent the US down the gurgler financially, so he is going to be cautious in this one.
