Issues with Subwoofer Power

Hi mate,
I have just purchased the same sub for my 2012 sv6 and have gone through hell with the thing, my one is doing the exact thing
I was just wondering if you were able to find a fix for it.
I have run out of options and was wondering if you had any luck sorting it out??

I've had the same in my VF SV6 and found the fix. A 12v dc to dc step down converter to the main power supply. When the car gets over 15.1v the amp would usually **** off. Now the step down doesn't allow this and the amp doesn't shut off.
