Looks beautiful mate! Got a red one myself :)

Any hints with rejuvenating the red paint?

Super tidy example now, nice work!

Haha, paint it a different colour? Mine is a good 20 foot car...looks great from twenty feet away. Needs another good polish.

Ok, since the last post...

The intake manifold gasket stopped gasketting

Fitted a MACE chip, goes a bit better now.

The water pump had a seniors moment and pee'd all over the driveway, bearing gone completely and the impeller had started chewing away at the timing cover. So changed that.

Was under the back of the car considering how to mount my toolbox in the back, put my hand on the rear resonator...and my finger went straight through the side. Had a hot dog welded in place of the old resonator, makes its a little louder, but not much.

Hopefully, its starts going ok now haha.

Not bad for a daily. Considering a lip spoiler and side skirts.

Been tidying this up a little lately. Resprayed the rear pillar covers:

Painted the side strips body colour:

Filled and resprayed the rear bumperettes too.

Oh, and look what showed up in the post today!

Further plans, get matching side skirts, repair and paint the lip spoiler, and fix the high idle issues it has. Then start saving for a clutch.

Oh, and the reason I can't lower it:

Wrote up a little list of all the things I want to fix up on this in the next few weeks.

So...

TPS
IAC valve
new battery
plugs\leads
DFI module
diff oil
flush cooling system
grease trailing arm bushes
tierod ends
new rear tyres
engine oil & filter
air filter
tensioner
idler pulleys x3
oh, and the clutch/throwout bearing/spigot bearing

Hopefully, after all that, I'll have a reliable daily. Or I'll accidentally drive it down the boat ramp. At 60 km/h.

Replaced the battery, fixed the miss! Cranks and starts a LOT better now, so I'll just let that one sit for a bit, haha. Clutch next, as soon as I get my tax back. Hopefully the previous owner put a solid flywheel in. If so, I might pick up some plates for it.

Emergency braking, back end kicked out, 180 into the guard rail. Kinda annoyed, but less so than if I'd already got a new clutch for it. Going to go see the insurance company tomorrow, see if its economical to repair it or not.

Floor seems ok, drives straight, tailgate still opens and closes fine. I think it's mainly panel damage. I hope they fix it, I like this ute.

That's no good...but could have been worse from the sound of it. Good thing you're OK.
