In the US elections is a media money making operation. If you do not bribe (ehem... pay) the media you get not exposure, no exposure, no opportunity. We treat the elections like any other sport with a regular season, play offs and last game for the championship.

One common say around our feeble minded population is they vote either Red or Blue because the other parties does not win. My question to them is... "Is all about winning or doing the right thing and vote for whoever you think is right for the job?" Our populous is brainedwashed that is only a 2 party system; is a 2 party monopoly and they are viscious when a 3rd one wants to join in or let alone if has a chance on winning.

Wow really?! It's all about who can afford to pander to the most people. That's all. They saying "buy the presidency" holds a lot of water.

Almost feel sorry for the U.S.
Going from George Dubbya "the mother of all cock-ups" to the "almost black" Obama (Incidentally: If you spell his name backwards you get "Am Abo").
Just an observation so don't pull the tired old "racist bigot" card on me.
Next U.S. president - Ronald McDonald Trump or Bill Clinton's leftovers - tough call.
We have the same problem here. A pool of near sighted fools with their own hidden agendas to vote for.

I note today that Turnbull has just announced $195 billion over the next 10 years is to be spent on upgrading Australia's armed forces.
About time! Our defense forces are currently using Windows XP FFS!
Thank God we're finally getting rid of Kim Beazley's (remember him - ex-ALP Leader?) antiquated and retarded Collins class submarines.
Yet another "honourable person" who cost us a fortune and spent his remaining days exiled in the cushy job as Ambassador to the U.S. on the punters payroll.
Again, without suffering any penalties for his ineptitude and lining his own pockets with punter pennies and contractor kick-backs along the way.
Nice work if you can get it.
Currenty, 1% of the worlds population controls 90% of it's wealth.
Justice favours the rich - they can afford better lawyers.

I find it amazing that a country of over 350 million people can't get better candidates for their presidency that Trump or most of the other drongo's that are running.

At least in Oz, we have an excuse when our leader turns out to be a drop-kick. We only have 24 million to choose from.

I'm actually hopeful Trump gets the GOP nomination and ends up becoming President for two main reasons. It could see the beginning of the end of global political correctness gone mad. And the beginning of the end of Islam as we know it (stuck in the equivalent of Christianity's Dark Ages).
