So if you have something to offer someone and both parties are happy and agree, but you aren't happy about that, and you think there should be some sort of government intervention, sort of like socialism, to stop this mutual agreement.
Makes sense to me.

So all drug use should be legal then in your book because “both parties agree”? How about blatant bribery and corruption, after all both the briber and the corrupt official agree that exchanging a bag of money is ok!

The government (and the law) needs to be involved in a lot of stuff in life to ensure we have a relatively harmonious society that works to the benefit of the majority.

Maybe don’t breed if you don’t have stable housing.

Plenty of people had stable housing until the surplus of housing evaporated. Now people with full time jobs are having difficulty getting a rental to live in.

At the current rate these clowns are going your super is going to be worth bugger all. All I stated was the lot of them are a bunch of leaches, wouldn't the money be better off paying for you to buy a house of your own now. instead of wasting money paying off some other turn outs property? Most of the sparkys and plumbers I know own at least one house. if you want to talk about greed.

Yea but a house makes about 5-7%, that is about what you get for super.
But if you get a home loan, you pay interest so that will drop that percentage down a bit, then say you sell your house in your 70's to downsize, you have to pay capital gains tax which further drops your houses percentage over it's life.

Plus your house in retirement won't bring you an income.

Both those examples are against criminal law.

There is no CGT on primary place of residence.

In retirement, owning a home provides housing security and no outflow of rental costs.

You don’t pay capital gains tax if it’s your primary residence you are selling.

Plus your house in retirement won't bring you an income.

But it will prevent you from being constantly extorted by landlords for more and more money. Which is effectively a net income as say $500 a week not paid in rent is $500 more in your pocket.

And? Both counter parties agree so it must be ok right? That was your argument.

If it was up to me buying existing houses to rent them out would also be illegal. Only new builds would be able to be rented out and the government would be involved in providing social housing again.

I don’t consider renting stable housing.

More stable than being in a tent! If home ownership was the bar to determine if you have kids or not then not a lot of people would be having kids seeing as the system is determined to make it as difficult as possible to own a home.
