Despite my severe disappointment with Gillard I simply cannot support an overtly religious political leader. While I would rather no carbon tax I don’t think the ultimate consequences will be as dire as the opposition claim. I also don’t necessarily believe it is the way to force industry to clean up their act,. For the majority will simply pass on the extra costs to us. For all the claims of misleading the public, saying one thing and doing the other , c’mon. The libs did the same thing with the GST which in my opinion was far worse. Oh and don’t forget Work Choices. I seriously dont want my kids to have to deal with that kind of industrial relations policy now they are close to joining the workforce
I would actually like to vote for some joke party , i.e. all the rest , but that is actually how we ended up in this situation,. By not giving either major party a clear majority they were forced to get into bed with the independent loons. Running a country by allowing representatives of individual electorates a far larger say than their votes were worth is not a way to govern. I hope above all, whoever wins the next election do so with a good majority that will marginalise the likes of the nihilist greens and all the other independents.
