Two people can lift my hard cover but it's easier with three plus you need someone to climb inside to remove the pins. Then you need someone strong to hold it up to unclip the struts.

VY/VZ is an easy two person jobbie. Mrs J and I can do it easily.

My favourite VZ is the Maloo, I think they look pretty hot.

What's the difference? Because mine is a real prick to remove, mainly because it is so heavy. The wife can't manage one side. Even lining up the hinges to get the pins in is hard.

Didn't the A9X Torries that raced have an open reverse cowl scoop?
Until today, I always though that reverse cowls were race driven cooling improvements. I need to do some research but I think I am now officially a RICER having owned both a GTR XU1 and an LH with scoops and holes cut in the bonnet!

Oh the shame of it all!

Not sure at all @losh1971

It just works - I have never been close to a VE ute in the flesh, Next time I see one with a lid at one of the hardware store I will check it out and ask a couple of questions.

Cheers n Beers

I prefer the hard lid for looks and security but my best mate misses out a lot more than he used to when I had the VR with soft cover. That was a one man job and less than five mins the lad could jump in and we'd go cruising. These days he's a front seat passenger but I don't like him inside the cab so he normally misses out now.
